evaluation of websites(grammar)

Name of the website: Guide to Grammar and Writing

Website address: http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/

Content:
When writing English essays, I usually need some resources of information to look up to check if what I write is correct. And one main part of those resources is grammar because English grammar is so different from Chinese one, like tense, the transformation of verbs, if a noun is countable, etc. So I surfed on the net, went to google.com and searched websites regarding grammar, and I found a website, “Guide to Grammar and Writing.”
It is just the first website in the list, and contains abundant information about grammar. And the knowledge is classified into six categories, which are Word & Sentence Level, Paragraph Level, Essay & Research Paper Level, Ask Grammar, Quizzes, Search Devices, Peripherals & PowerPoints, and GrammarPoll, Guestbook, Awards. And in each small item, there are definitions, terms, example sentences, and some information about how to write. Besides, the website even provides some powerpoint presentation files available, which we can download if we need.

Strengthens:
I think the appearance of this site is better than others. First, it shows me a simple appearance, which is easy to be understand, and do not make me confused like some other sites. Second, it use some way to illustrate the points clearly like bold, underlined words and proper colors of words. Third I think the way of classifying these items is convenient for me to find certain knowledge I want.

Weakness:
There are so many words and those words are small, so I think if the size of words can be bigger, it will be more comfort when reading.

Five-star grading: ★★★★☆
